What is magnetic levitation?

Magnetic levitation technology is a technology that uses magnetic force to overcome gravity to levitate objects. The current levitation technology mainly includes magnetic levitation, optical levitation, acoustic levitation, airflow levitation, electric levitation, particle beam levitation, etc., among which magnetic levitation technology is more mature. Magnetic levitation (electromagnetic levitation, electromagnetic suspension) is referred to as EML technology (or EMS technology).
Magnetic levitation refers to the use of the principle of magnetic field repulsion, by controlling the magnitude and direction of the repulsive force to make the repulsive force and the magnitude of gravity equal so that the magnet above levitates in the air. The object is subjected to the gravitational force of the earth, and a gravitational force roughly pointing to the center of the earth, if the object is subjected to the reverse force of other gravity that is less than the gravitational force, then the object will fall, levitate when the same, and lift off when greater. Two magnetic objects or magnetic fields act on each other when they are close together, repelling each other by the same name and attracting each other by different names.
The main scenarios of magnetic levitation applications are magnetic levitation wind turbines and magnetic levitation trains. It is reported that an innovative renewable energy technology company in the United States, in a wind turbine with a permanent magnetic material blade, uses the principle of magnetic levitation, to avoid the mechanical resistance and friction resistance of the motor, so that the wind turbine wind energy utilization rate greatly improved, thus reducing the cost of wind power generation. the end of 2005 “People’s Daily” also reported that the Chinese Academy of Sciences and several other units, jointly developed a full permanent Magnetic levitation wind turbine, power output can be increased by more than 20%.
In 1922, German engineer Hermann Kemper proposed the principle of electromagnetic levitation, and humans began to explore the development of maglev trains.
